Today I found out that a childhood friend of mine passed away… and my heart feels heavy.

Raven… you were always smiling. Always kind. Always the type of person who just wanted to be good to everyone around you.

Even though life took us in different directions, I will always remember the kind of soul you were growing up. You were genuine, smart, and full of life.

It hurts knowing that someone who carried so much light is no longer here with us.

And it really makes you think… why do we wait until moments like this to realize how much people mean to us?

Life is short. Unpredictable. And sometimes unfair in ways we don’t understand.

So if you’re reading this… reach out to someone. A friend. Someone from your past. Someone you’ve been meaning to check on.

Put the differences aside. Life is too short to let time pass without connection.

Today I say goodbye to someone who once shared a piece of my childhood…
and I’ll always remember you for your kindness and your light.
