TLC

I think Carson Daily said it when He described TLC as one of the best female groups. At the MTV awards a few months after losing Lisa Lopez, better known as Lefteye. Before becoming TLC, each girl had their own story to tell Lefteye came from a military background and an abusive household.

So Lefteye realizes that she should have many different talents. She loves to dance, sing and draw. Her upbringing always felt like some war; her father was abusive to the whole family.
Lefteye understood that their father had a bad problem with alcohol, but that’s also how she connected with him by having drinking competitions with him, and she always said that the main when could get his attention.

In 1991 Lisa Lopez escaped her dysfunctional household in Philadelphia with 138 dollars to her name and an electric keyboard on her way to Atlanta, Georgia.
In Atlanta, Lisa Lopez met Tionne Watkins, later known as T-Boz. T-Boz had always said that Lisa always hit off when they locked eyes.

So to-Boz and left joined a two nature group with a girl named Crystal Jones. It’s funny that Tionne and Lisa are off, but the chemistry wasn’t there with the original member Crystal Jones and second nature was Crystal Jones group, to begin with.
After meeting pebbles, who had a significant musical career before, she decided to turn her attention to another aspect of the business, like becoming a manager.

That’s how TLC fell into her lap. She saw the girls at the beauty salon and Pebbles and the ladies to meet her for dinner, and she offered them a record deal under her record label.
After pebbles got the ladies to sign to LaFace Records, the girls signed the deal they thought was the best thing; later on, they would find out that it wasn’t the best thing they had signed. The ladies signed to LaFace record into 1991.

Lock them in for eight albums, and the rights to the TLC Name and Any other agreements the girls would make would have to go through pebbles.
One more thing the pebbles Needed to do before putting the girls in a recording studio was to find a replacement for Crystal Jones because Pebbles did not feel that Crystal vibe well.
So pebbles when into a dance studio where she met Rozonda Ocielian Thomas, a dancer Damian Dame. Rozonda was a part of the group the same night. TLC was an overnight success with a lot of trial and error. Their debut album wasOoooooohhh… On the TLC Tip, on February 25, 1992, the same year, pebbles got the group TLC to open up for Mc Hammer.

On this tour, the girls would realize what true friendship is about as one of their members would fight for her life. as she battles sickle Cell, those engaging know what sickle cell is. Sickle Cell is a blood disorder that predominantly affects the African-Americans community.
It is also something that children inherit which means that it’s passed down the same way people get the color of their eyes, skin, and hair from their parents. For a child to inherit sickle cell, both parents must carry the gene. There is no way to catch sickle cell, and it is not contagious. But, you are born with it. Tionne was diagnosed with the disorder when she was seven years old.

Healthy red blood cells are smooth, round, and bendable, quickly flowing through blood vessels and carrying oxygen to every body part. But, these crescent moon-shaped sickle cells can catch on one another or stick to the blood vessel walls. It is difficult for them to squeeze through the tiny blood vessels when this happens.

These sickle cells can create pile-ups, preventing your organs from getting the needed oxygen.
After Tionne’s first attack on the road, we decided to work three or sometimes four nights a week so that T-Boze could get enough rest while on the road. T-Boze spent two weeks in Nebraska hospital, where chili and Lefteye did not leave her side until she was released from the hospital.

The girls wanted to talk to pebbles about their contracts because they didn’t realize that pebble had them in so many different, and she had a hand in everything, including owning the name TLC. They were and still are the best-selling female group of all time, but it would be challenging to prove when the girls never saw a dime of their own money.

So in 1994, as the girls prepared themselves for their second Crazy Sexy Cool, they also took a meeting pebbles to her that they no longer wanted to be managed by pebbles.

Even though Pebbles agreed to let them out of their deal, TLC was upset that even though Pebbles let them out, she was still entitled to whatever the group did for years to come. In addition, Lisa was engaged to Andre Rice, a well-known football player. They fell in love at first sight, but on the other hand, their relationship was toxic, especially when alcohol was invited.

On February 22, 1994, authorities responded to a domestic violence call where Lisa said Andre struck her a couple of times and then threw her on the floor. In the studio, Chilli and T-Boze notice a big difference in Lisa. she is troubled and very uneasy about her relationship with Andre. It was draining her down.

So on June 8, Lisa decided to have a ladies’ night to burn off some steam from their toxic relationship. Unfortunately, Andre Rice returned a little after 6 a.m., and Lisa Lopez ran out of the house and began attacking him in the driveway of their shared home. After the domestic dispute that Lisa and Andre had in the driveway, Andres decided to leave, but Lisa was still distraught, so she went back into the house; she has to 20 boxes of sneakers that Andre had ordered.

Assume that he was not nice enough to order her a single pair; she decides to throw them in a tube and light them up on fire and watch them burn. As the fire expanded, Lisa Lopez ran out of the house into the woods.
On June 10, 1994, Lisa Turned herself in to authorities and was charged with first-degree arson. She entered the inpatient facility wall chili at her lawyer’s suggestion, and T-Boze returned to the studio.
Lisa could only leave the facility when she had laid down her vocals for their second album.

It is a track called waterfalls. She created such inspirational lyrics when she saw a rainbow leaving the facility.
In 1995 the girls hit the road to promote the album crazy sexy cool, which one double platinum in the first week of being released. Well, the world, it was tough for them to understand how a double platinum group could go bankrupt with a double platinum album like sexy crazy cool was.

However, despite their unmistakable presence in the R&B history books, T-Boz, Chilli & Left Eye all filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on July 3, 1995, declaring debts of a whopping $3.5 million.
As it turns out, quite quickly – provided you’re familiar with the sneaky pitfalls of a juicy Hollywood contract.

The group maintained that they’d copped a pretty unfavorable deal concerning their contracts with their manager Perri “Pebbles” Reid and their associated labels, LaFace Records and Arista Records.

In the music industry – the label will foot the upfront bill for getting the album off the ground and take it out of the artist’s cut of the sales later on down the track. According to the members of TLC, the more successful CrazySexyCool became, the more they were in debt. It didn’t help that Watkins also required money for serious medical attention, and Lopes had insurance payments to make after an arson incident.

After these costs, managers, lawyers, producers, and taxes had to be paid, leaving each group member with less than $50,000 a year for their efforts – which isn’t great, considering they’d had one of the most successful multi-million-selling albums of all time. In the end, TLC’s 1991 contract with LaFace saw the trio receiving 56 cents per album sold and even less for each single – which they then had to split three ways.

1999 FanMail was released just like every other album FanMail came with its own drama set. People heard that the central drama was that Lisa Lefteye Lopez was not 100% % behind the project FanMail because she wanted to own her own solo project SuperNova.

FanMail was TLC’s way of answering their fans musically. Lisa was missing an appearance to promote the album. Someone reported Lisa missing because No one was where she was. It was like she had dropped from the face of the earth, and T-Boze and Chilli were out there trying their best to cover for Lisa.

Even though she left as she could stand behind the fanMail project, parts of Lisa were glad that her T-Boze and Chilli could come together and work as sisters to fanMail’s true success. However, that did not mean she did want to establish her own.

On one of her many trips to Honduras, She decided to document herself on this trip because she felt that these were the only people who could get to know her. On this trip, Lisa brought along her sister Reigndrop and her brother Randol as friends to do 30 days of detox.

Lisa also hoped to set the Record Straight by using the documentary. Lisa loved being one with nature, and she also believed in spirituality.

No one imagined that Lisa, on the spiritual journey, would end up losing her life, but it feels like everything she’s been through and everything she went through came full circle for her on that trip because she was able to be one with nature like she always imagined to be.

So they all have been through their adversity and adversity together. But, still, the most fantastic thing is all of them have overcome every single adversity in the world ever through it from, as far as coming from a broken hand and then knowing where they were going but knowing they were going somewhere.

Lisa Lopez was born May 27, 1971, & died on April 25, 2002, in a car accident. What is mind bottling to me is there were ten other people in the car with her, and God only Chose her to be an Angel.
