Queen Of Hip-Hop Soul

I’m honored to have the opportunity to share my opinion on one of the most iconic females in the world. One of the main things that make her such a strong woman is that she made something out of nothing to become the woman that other women can and should be able to relate on many different stages of a woman’s life.

I was super young when she came out of the world with a voice full of pain and just trying to survive and pray for a better day. As stated before, I was young when I started listening to her, and I probably did not understand what I was singing along to. Still, the only thing I understood was that anytime she came on television or radio, I felt like she chose to speak directly to me with every word she sang.

Personally, Mary J. Blige has become one of the most influential women in my life simply because she has overcome so many obstacles that could have kept her from doing what she was born. I believe that Mary J. blige had to go through rough times to give us classics.

  Real love.

 I’m going down.

 Be happy.

 Ain’t going to cry.

 No more drama.

I can love you.

There are so many more. Yes, I love her as an artist, but I chose to look at her as an extraordinary woman because she has broken many doors; she still has to prove herself time and time again because of her status.

Even though I don’t share the Mary Blige status, I still feel I have to prove myself to the world because I am a woman and was born differently.

The most important thing I have taken away from Mary j. Blige is I must love myself before saying I love you to anyone who might not be worthy of my love.

Also, never take no as an answer, no matter what the world says about you. I am fighting my way through my doors in life to make a name for myself.

Without the world feeling sorry for me because of my physical limitations, I want to be seen as a woman just like Mary J. Blige has inspired a whole world of women with her incredible music.

I would like to believe that by sharing my stories, I could inspire people how she has inspired me to find who I am as a woman and not fear the things I never thought about myself until I find the strength to see myself as myself, caring about the world.

Mary J. Blige has overcome her struggles in understanding the world she has chosen to be a part of; it is a world with all eyes that will always be on her no matter what.

However, she has learned that managing those eyes or haters is a blessing when someone like her can live under the spotlight, and no matter the challenging moments in her life, she has managed to stay on top.

I’m not well known as a writer to those who don’t believe in my ability to write, but I believe in my ability to express my emotions well enough so I may understand what I am trying to say. I might not always write correctly, but my passion for words makes the fighter in me worth fighting to be seen as a person and allow my disability to be last.
